The Board of Directors and staff of the Diplomacy Center Foundation (DCF) are saddened to announce the passing of Ambassador Hushang Ansary on January 3rd 2026. He was a generous philanthropist, an international entrepreneur, and investor with an inspiring commitment to diplomacy and international engagement.

“Ambassador Ansary was a strong advocate of diplomacy.” said Ambassador Roman Popadiuk (ret.) President of DCF, “His support of the Diplomacy Center, the diplomacy museum at the State Department and various other international projects helped spread the appreciation of diplomacy”.

Ambassador Ansary was Economic and Finance Minister of Iran and Iranian Ambassador to the United States. He was Chief Executive Officer of IRI International Corporation and CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company.
