Legacy Ministers Launch Program and Reception held in the USDC Pavilion

On July 12, 2018 the Diplomacy Center Foundation with the USDC launched the Legacy Ministers initiative. The 30 minute program was held in the USDC Pavilion’s Founding Ambassadors Concourse where remarks by special guests Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan and Hany Hassan, FAIA, Partner of Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Planners. Mary Kane, Director of USDC and Ambassadors William C. Harrop (ret.), Chair of the DCF Board of Directors briefly spoke at the beginning of the program while James T. L. Dandridge II, DCF Board of Directors, introduced the Legacy Ministers initiative directed to individuals who served as Foreign Service Officers and in the civil service of federal government departments. A reception upstairs followed the program attended by 135 people, including 100 guests from the Foreign Service community.

Friend-raising Reception at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ

An intimate reception was co-hosted by Ambassador Brenda LaGrange Johnson (ret.) and Ambassador Barbara Barrett (ret.) in the Johnson’s Sanctuary Camelback Mountain residence on March 22, 2018 where Dan Quayle, 44th Vice President of the United States., was the guest speaker. The array of guests included a former Congressional aid, a few former White House staff, several retired Foreign Service Officers, five former U. S. ambassadors, members of the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations, philanthropists, civic leaders, co owner of a professional soccer team and a couple of industry titans.

Chef Wolfgang Puck hosted an intimate reception at Spago, Beverly Hills, for the Diplomacy Center Foundation (DCF) on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, attended by 40 guests including eight former U.S. ambassadors, of which five are DCF Founding Ambassadors.

Sunday, August 5, 2017, 5 PM to 7 PM

Ambassador Stuart A. Bernstein (ret.) and Wilma Bernstein hosted an informative reception on the Diplomacy Center Foundation’s effort to raise funds to build the United States Diplomacy Center in Aspen, Colorado, on Sunday afternoon, August 5, 2017.  Ambassador R. Nicholas Burns (ret.) former U. S. Ambassador to NATO and Under Secretary for Political Affairs was the guest speaker for the more than 70 guests.

Ambassador Mary Ourisman Reception - Washington D.C.

The Honorable Mary M. Ourisman, Diplomacy Center Foundation (DCF) Board of Directors, hosted a cocktail reception honoring the donors of the DCF on Wednesday evening, May 31, 2017.  Special guest Hany Hassan, FAIA, Partner, Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners gave a presentation on the design of the United States Diplomacy Center (USDC) Pavilion to the more than 50 guests.
